BABA Black Jeeps, Have You Any Mods?

Updated: Aug 13, 2023

Today as I was standing in the parking lot of Get and Go because some lady rear ended us, it got me thinking about Jeep modifications. If we didn’t have a lift kit or a steel bumper how much damage would we have really sustained? Luckily for us it was just a scratch, no real damage. Unfortunately for her, she is looking at a whole new bumper and grill.

Jeep modifications have been around since the early days of Jeep. The first Jeeps were designed and built for the military during World War II. Jeep quickly gained notoriety for their ability to off-road and yet be such a versatile vehicle. I am sure we all know just how versatile they can be 😉. Once the war ended, Jeeps became quite popular as civilian vehicles, and people began to modify them to suit their preferences. As we have all seen, some make them into rock crawlers while some are a little more cautious and prefer their Jeep to be a mall crawler.

The history of Jeep modifications is tied to the beginning of the Jeep brand itself. Over the years, Jeep has made a wide variety of models, CJ, TJ, JK, JL, SJ, YJ, JT, JKU, and the list goes on and on. Each model has its own unique set of specs, and Jeep owners have

responded by modifying their vehicles to increase their performance and capabilities.

So the question is why do people modify their Jeeps? There are many reasons why people will modify their Jeeps. Some do it to increase their off-road capability or improve their towing capacity. Others modify their Jeeps for aesthetic reasons . Some people get a custom paint job while others may get unique wheels. A great example of this is the Barbie Jeep which has been plastered all over social media due to popularity of the Barbie movie.

There are aftermarket accessories galore to make these vehicles stand out from the crowd . Whatever the reason is, people are creating vehicles that fit their unique needs while still being stylish.

Regardless the reason, Jeep modifications have become a popular and a huge part of the Jeep culture. There are countless aftermarket companies and communities dedicated to helping Jeep owners who modify their vehicles such as Extreme Terrain, Quadratic, Metal Cloak etc... and there are numerous examples of highly modified Jeeps that are capable of many things thanks to these companies . The history of Jeep modifications is a testament to the versatility and durability of the Jeep brand, and it continues to be an important part of the Jeep culture today.

Do you think your modifications are the best around well let the voters decide at the "Merica" Made of Steel Off-Roading Show on Sept. 17th at Remedy at 611 from 12-4.
